As far as my research currently can figure out, there isn't any immediate match to your George Milne FAIRBAIRN etc. But, as the dna project is beginning to show, most of the farming Borders FAIRBAIRNs seem to be distantly related anyway, and however flawed his grandson's bio is genealogically speaking, it certainly leads back to Sprouston, and St Boswells, ROX.
