Hello, I don't know what the rules are on this List, so I'd just like to mention that there is an on-line auction web site where a seller has several, very old books for sale on the subject of SCOTLAND. They are mostly hard-cover, and one of them is written in a Scottish dialect. The seller lives in Great Britain. ..... While I'm writing, I'm curious if anyone knows of a group of KERR and HENDERSON families which moved together to County Sligo, IRELAND, in the late 1700's. They seem to have been living in Sligo Town from about 1780. We have NO idea which part of Scotland they came from. On the same branch of my family tree, I have ancestors, William and Mary Ann HANNAH and Andrew and Isabella RITCHIE, whose families might have moved back and forth between Glasgow, Scotland, and Donegal, Ireland, in the early 1800's. Their respective children, William HANNAH and Eliza RITCHIE were born in Donegal, but married in Glasgow in 1855. The KERR's and HENDERSON's went to Canada in the 1820's, and one family moved to Boston, MA, in the 1870's. William and Eliza HANNAH came to Boston in the 1850's, and their daughter, Elizabeth, married William KERR. Thank you for your time. Betty (near Lowell, MA, USA)
