This marker is the oldest read-able stone in the yard and apparently was moved there from another location in Ancaster in the 1800's. Bill, the Churchyard Co-Ordinator, after checking his records advises that only two other Ritchie's are there, both from the 1900's. He had no Janet Ritchie or Blasdell listing. I attach photos. I thought perhaps they might be of interest or possibly relatives to your Alexander. The inscription reads: SACRED to the memory of ALEXANDER RITCHIE and MARY LUCIA his wife who both departed this life at Ancaster on the 11th of APRIL, A.D. 1823 ********* As you can see Bill has been taking excellent care of the yard since the early 1970's as a volunteer after he retired. Regards, Larry
