Do you know if the Scots kept records of the passengers "leaving" Scotland in the mid 1800's? I have the date and ship that my family arrived. And I'm wondering if possibly a record in Scotland could have the town, etc. that they actually came from. I'm also tracing two military records, but think I'm going to have to find someone in Scotland to do the search for me. Have rank, Regiment and duty station for one of them and just rank for the other one. Can't find either in the WO's, but possibly don't have enough information on them for that.
