He was aged 32, the son of James Wilson and Christina Rennie. His occupation was police constable, and at the time of his marriage, his address was Castleford, Yorkshire. It is believed that he was born on 9 December 1855 in Fyvie in Aberdeenshire. Martha was aged 32, the daughter of George Chapman and Christian (Christina) Beaton. She was born in 1856 in the parish of Monquhitter in Aberdeenshire. I have not been able to find any other record of this couple. I have searched the Scottish census records for 1891 and 1901, the English census records for 1891 and 1901, the Canadian census records for 1891, 1901 and 1911 as well as the US census records for 1900 and 1910. I am keen to know what happened to James and Martha. (Martha's grandmother was Elizabeth Burr from my Burr family in Aberdeenshire).
