Hello here is to copies of letters sent to this list to which I haven't had a reply of what I sent sandybear Hello to Scotland's list. I am new to this one, so I am hoping that someone can help, I have only a little to go on, well here goes. I am looking for any census, certificate or general information on a person called James Nicholson. I believe in was born between 1822 - 1840 in Scotland. He was a gunner in the royal artillery, and was stationed at Liverpool Battery, Liverpool. Where he met his wife Sarah Anderson, they married 9th April 1865 at St Nicholas church Liverpool, they had three children before he died 1869 ? { not too sure }. His married certificate gives his father as William Nicholson profession Miller. Nothing else is known about him or his family, hoping the Scottish census might throw a light if anyone has access to them and may share them with me.
