I am researching my family tree and it would seem that my family were show folk. my 2x Great grandfather was called william O'neill and he married catherine williams. My hunch is that they travelled with the codona family as on their marriage certificate the witnesses are down as william codona and mary ann codona, also I have been told that the codona family where one of the main families of the fairs in vinegarhill in glasgow, well some of my family where born in vinegarhill around that time. William and catherine had a son in bathgate in a caravan (my great grandfather) called Arthur O'neill who went on to marry sarah shufflebottom also from a travelling background. Does this ring any bells with anyone? I can't seem to get any futher back than william and catherine as I can't seem to find a birth or death certificate for them only their marriage cert which isn't great.
