Thanks Gordon. We read a newspaper obit which said Farquahars sister was the graanddaughter of Donald McLeay of the 77th Rosshire Highlanders, but have not figuured out what that really meant. A cousin says Farquhar married Ann Campbell in Aug 1820 in Urray. In 1841 Ann and some of her children are in Kilmorack,Inverness, where she is described as a crofters widow. her children Anne,Colin, Margaret and Alexander were there too. Farquhar and Anne Mcleay had a dau Margaret who married Findlay Fraser from Beauly, Kilmorack. Margaret and Findlay had a dau Anne also.
