    1. [SCOTLAND] Lewis Murray and Albert Lewis Murray
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: michellevickers358 Surnames: Murray, Munsen, Wedgewood Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.scotland.general/22433/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Please, please, please does anyone have any information regarding Lewis Murray who was by great, great, great grandfather and born about 1840 in Scotland ?where? I believe he died in South Shields, England in 1910. I also believe him to be widowed as in 1881 two of his children, one of which was called Minnie, were living in Hartlepool, Durham, England as boarders with a family by the surname Wedgewood as he was sea-faring. However my great, great grandfather Albert Lewis Murray wasn't born until 1890 in Hartlepool,Durham,England and his parents on birth certificate are Lewis Murray born Scotland and Maggie Munsen born in Germany. Albert Lewis Murray was transcribed as the 'adopted son' of widowed Theresa Murray aged 66 born in England and her unmarried son Thomas Murray aged 46 born Geurnsey (British Subject)in the Scottish 1901 Census and lived in Anderston, Glasgow, Scotland. However I'm unable to find Albert Lewis Murray in either the English or Scottish 1911 Census. Any leads with any of these names would be extremely well appreciated as I've come to a complete stand-still in my own reseach. Many thanks in advance, Michelle Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: fredro_32112 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.scotland.general/22431/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I've been on this site for about a week. I am really a bit startled and shaken about what I have found in the past few days on my tree. It all happened with a Mary Erwin (my 2nd great grandfather Williams' mother). Apparently she was descended of Scottish nobilty. Unless I have taken a wrong turn (which is entirely possible), this ride keeps getting wilder and wilder the farther I go back. Take a look at my "Dorman Weaver" tree. Are my findings unusual? I'd welcome opinions. Thank You. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
