My great-great grandfather ANDREW CAMERON was born in Scotland circa 1860's. He left Scotland for Canada (not sure exact year) he met a lady from England. From what I am told her name was Florence (don't have a last name) and believe that ANDREW and FLORENCE married about this time, circa 1885-1887, in New York. They made home in Canada and had a daughter born about 1888 (don't have a name for her, just that she was about 12 yrs older than son) and then a son, John Cameron born in 1900. John Cameron may have been born in either Saskatchewan or Manitoba. According the 1930 U.S. Census for Michigan, John Cameron immigrated to U.S. in 1916. From what I am told Andrew Cameron & his wife Florence homesteaded there in Canada and at some point lost the farm and was living with a sister of Andrew Cameron's. In Massachusetts, inmate is a resident of a home or nursing home or a poor house. Usually old folks home or like today's nursing home as we know it. It is usually not a jail.
