I do know that in doing research during the last 7 months, trying to find the birthplace and parents of WBM, Sr., I've run across Manns from Scotland, Ireland, England and Germany, so that is why I've put a message on each of those message boards as there is a chance that this Mann family could have emigrated from any one of these countries. Once I find the parents of WBM, Sr., perhaps I will be able to trace back to the country from which his family emigrated. Thank you for your response.

He was born 6/24/1825 in Va., and m. Phineta 30 June 1845. She was from Petersburg, Va. They had 8 children, lived in Hanibal, Mo., and I think Phila, Pa., as well as Va. In 1870 they are listed on the Jefferson Co., Ky (Louisville) Census. He died there in 1877 and she died there in 1891. Thank you.
