Appears 6 children Alexander Gilmour 1901, Ann 1905, Elizabeth Annie 1896 (my gran) Mary 1900, Robert 1909 and Ronald 1904. Elizabeth born 19.3.1896 District Shiskine, County Bute, married John McAulay from Ardescroft Helessburgh County of Dumbarton age ?48. Elizabeth was then resident in Gressbank? Mach? Bay County of Bute. Johns parents were John McAulay and Mary McPhail both decd. John and Elizabeth had 4 children Barbara McMillan 1918, James Brownlie 1934, (my dad) John 1917 and Mary 1924. Barbara remained in Scotland when the family moved to England when my dad was a child. Their father John Snr. died before dad was 1 year old. Cant find any record of his death. Barbara aparently married and officer. Would love to trace her or her family. If anyone out there cou! ld help would be sooooooooo greatful. She married John James Cocker (born in England on 4 Nov 1816) and they had 11 children of which I am aware. Their eldest, William C. Cocker, was born in Philadelphia on 10 May 1842. Anna died in Philadelphia on 14 Oct 1892, and John died in Philadelphia on 14 Nov 1887. I have been unable to find out any information on where in Scotland Anna was born, or when she emigrated to the US. Any assistance, suggestions, or direction would be greatly appreciated.
