Ruth, Don't know much about this family, but here are a few nuggets to Google in case you come off this branch. The Brandons married into McCorkles in NC. Elizabeth Brandon b.1761, d/o Richard Brandon and Mary Locke married Francis Marion McCorkle in Rowan County April 12, 1780. They're buried in the McCorkle Cemetery in Lincoln Co, NC and I believe he was rather prominent. Their kids were Margaret, Molly, Sarah, Elizabeth, Francis Marion, Agnes, Richard, Thomas, William Brandon and John H. McCorkle. Dad had married Sarah Worke first, August 26, 1768, and had Matthew, Isabella, Jane, Alexander Worke and Rebecca McCorkle.
