Hi, I am looking for information about the Douglas's who went to Ireland as part of the Ulster Plantation. The Douglas from whom I am descended is the Rev. William Douglas (1771-1860) born nr. Lurgan. I have the following which states "that he went over with a lord Hamilton to take charge of ulster. " Any help will be appreciated as I am researching this period of 1611 - 1771.
