Hi folks, Here's a local news site for New Orleans. It's extremely upsetting, so be forwarned, but you can at least get information about local areas. Also has a weblog for reporting where abouts as well as missing people. http://www.nola.com/ Apparently 100 died after the hurricane and flood while waiting evacuation from a nearby parish -- and apparently doctors are having to selectively decide what patients to let live or die at a hospital. This website shows the shortcomings of national news coverage quite clearly (as well as a few other agencies).
