I have watched and enjoyed BOTH shows. I learned from the Meryl Streep family history on Faces of America that she and I are cousins. The best part of both shows is that they show the new researcher where to start and how to proceed to actually do research. They also show everyone how average people (not just famous historical figures) played a role in historical events and give people a better perspective that brings history alive.
