    3. How about a simple hexagon - the six-sided shape of the "Giant's Causeway" stones? They are on the North Antrim coast and similar ones are found 25 miles away in Scotland (Staffa?). A true Scotch-Irish connection. A "U.S." inside would satisfy both the American and Ulster-Scot/Scotch-Irish links. The six sides also represent the "Wee Six" counties of today's Northern Ireland. If this is too political then add bars on 3 sides for the 9 counties of ancient Ulster. Jim Blair London, Ontario, Canada
