In the old histories there is record of folk moving across to NE Ulster from Scotland ca. 500 BCE. This may also explain the movement of M223+ lineages. These being also found in SW Scotland. The same people have been moving back and forth seasonally for possibly the last 2500 years. As Antrim to Kintyre is only a mornings travel away by small boat [approx. 15 miles], this area should rightly be seen under the same umbrella. All the best.
