    1. Re: [SCOT-DNA] test kit
    2. Derek, SMGF's process for testing your DNA takes a long time. When they make their periodic updates, currently about every six months, they will not have completed testing for everyone who has submitted a sample, but they will publish what results they do have as long as the results are for about 8 or more markers. Data for the rest of the published markers will generally be available by the next update. Eleven people in my surname group sent me their names, e-mail addresses, and family trees last November when they submitted their DNA samples to SMGF. I found them all and their DNA test results in the update SMGF published last September and sent them their results. Some of them received data for all 39 markers. Some were one marker short. A few of us received data for only 21 of the 39 markers, including me. I suspect that the testing for all those who didn't receive the full set will be finished and published in the next update, but I may be wrong. That is what I meant b! y "the rest of the results."
