Dear Steve: I understood that to be an established fact with the finding of the stone in Connecticut a few years ago. Isn't it in Glastonbury? "Discovered"... hrmmm... we seem to hear all the time of someone earlier... Eric the Red... others? However, "visited" surely fits. Afterall, Columbus' navigator used the Zeno maps to get here, did he not? Those were established by Prince Henry Sinclair's navigator.
