Oakley is the daughter &/or a relative of Richard Reid. 1830 Anderson Dist. census Richard Reid 60-70 female 60-70 male 15-20 female 20-30 Counted next door: Using the old naming pattern: William Oakley 30-40 Catherine R. 30-40 male ?? 5-10 1st son named for fathers father Jane under 5 1st daughter named for mothers mother Richard under 5 2nd son named for mothers father Son John b 1831. William & Catherine move to Abbeville Cty, SC before 1836. Sons: Alexander b 1836 and Fielding b 1839 William d 1840's in Abbeville and Catherine moved to Pickens Dist. before 1854. 1857 Purchases 120 acres on waters of Crooked Creek, Little River Questions: 1) Does anyone know Richards wife name? 2) Richard's other childrens names? 3) The area Richard &/or William lived?
