Also as being ordained as a Deacon in 1860. This info per the Provident Baptist Church minutes,page 484. Franklin Brookshire was m. to Susan/Sarah Elizabeth Martin,Daughter of "Sallie"Martin and_____?. Children: Hester Kathleen b.Sept 1 1856 d.Mar 16 1927 Baylis b.Nov.2 1857 d.Jul 12 1897 Henry Burris b.Jun 10 1861 d.Aug 25 1948 Sarah Elizabeth b.Aug 25 1864 d.May 9 1950 Franklin (N.F.)Brookshire was in the civil war.He was sent to the VA.Hospital in Charleston,SC where he died of Yellow Fever,abt.1864. This family migrated to Anderson co.SC.after 1861 and was found there in 1910. Sarah Elizabeth "Sallie" Brookshire worked in the Piedmont Mill in Piedmont,Anderson co.SC later moved to Oconee co.SC and lived and died with her sister's (Hester) family.Having never married. Hester Brookshire m.Thadeus Leroy and lived in Oconee co.SC. Baylis may have settled in the Anderson co.SC area.
