He died 19 Nov 1864 at Camp Chase Ohio. He was a POW in the civil war and died in prison camp of pneumonia. He was taken by General Sherman in Atllanta's raid/burning on August 14. I have copies of his prisoner of war roll records and one of them states he died of pneumonia. He would be your great-great grandfather. He is the father of Henry Burris Brookshire. Thanks for any help Gay Stewart Beam --part1_2c074e91.2438aa46_boundary Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Return-path: LdyIris@aol.com From: LdyIris@aol.com Full-name: Ldy Iris Message-ID: <2c074e91.24379b82@aol.com> Date: Sat, 3 Apr 1999 11:27:46 EST Subject: Re: Henry Burris To: GBeam@aol.com MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: AOL 4.0 for Windows 95 sub 4 Reply-To: LdyIris@aol.com Hi Gay!
