Over the past few weeks I have subscribed to about 25 mailing lists, sending out queries for my own research. During this time I have watched these lists and noticed how the members treat one another, how they send items out on the lists that do not belong on a genealogical mailing list, how they were more concerned in keeping the amount of messages to a minimum instead of encouraging each other to participate. I have watched as members yelled at one other, unsubscribing because they were mad or hurt. I have read horrid words spoken to fellow members, who because of lack of knowledge or lack of education sent something out to the list was incorrect.
