Hi All, While researching an adjoining upstate county census record I came across an entry for someone whose occupation was listed as "Fortune Teller". Since this was one of my family lines it struck me, and even more so since the person was close to a known ancestor. My question: how common would "fortune tellers" be in upstate SC in the mid-to-late 1800s? To me this sounds like something you'd find in a big city, not the rural southeast. If anyone has anything to add on this subject I'd like to hear it. Allen
