Thanks, Paul, for the excellent source on the immigrants bank. For those lucky enough to find an ancestor with bank accounts there, it was surprising how much information is recorded. For example you can find, sometimes, parents or even siblings, what county the immigrant came from; how long he had been in US; if recent arrival, what ship he came on; and miscellaneous other information such as "husband cannot withdraw money without wife's signature". <G> Sincerely, Robin, granddaughter of immigrants, who needs all the help she can get to find them.
