Also, the Robert Stewart family from New Bern NC>Cumberland co.NC>Wilkes co.GA>Pickens co.SC Thank you for your help Gay Stewart Beam The community of Batesville invites the public to attend the Batesville Historic Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. until dark.Some of the many attractions will include: Traditional and time-honored craft demonstrations by local folks, regional artists and craftsmen displaying and selling their art, storytelling and Cherokee folklore, live music by local bluegrass group from 4-7 p.m., turkey shoot, square dancing, ole' time working moonshine still, softball and horseshoes, ole' timey children's game a heritage plant sale with local Master Gardeners on hand, "family tree" of Batesville history on display, quilt raffle and horse and buggy rides. Local musicians are invited to join in a "fiddlin' and pickin'" jam session.
