    1. [SCNEWBER] RICHARDSON
    2. I am looking for the family and ancestors of JOHN RICHARDSON b. circa 1780s. Married ELIZABETH CATHERINE ...?... b. 1791 (mother SCOTS and father GERMAN) Were in Marion Co., GA by the 1840s. Children: MARY b. 1831, MAHALA b. 1833, GEORGE W. b. 1836-7. All the children born in GA. PLEASE NOTE: This may not be all the children of John and Eliz. Richardson OR this could be a second marriage for both. Age of Eliz. gives hints of these two suggestions. John died before 1850. Eliz. continued to farm the land in Marion Co. until her death between 1880-90. The 1880 census was the last census where her name is recorded. There may be a connection to SIMON PETER RICHARDSON of Newberry, SC. He was b. c. 1818 in Newberry, SC, son of PETER RICHARDSON of the same county. PETER and JOHN RICHARDSON may have been brothers or close kin. I would like to know about this relationship to Peter Richardson family. My grandmother said that we were kin. Nothing is confirmed with data. If anyone knows this family or has some connections to this family, please e-mail me. I cannot find a paper trail for anyone mentioned except Mahala Richardson who was my gg-grandmother. Nora SEARCHING: PHELPS, WEST, BRUNSON, MCLEOD, CLARK, PALMER, RICHARDSON, LEE (two lines), BROWN, HICKS, CHAPPELL, SCOTT and many more. All came to GA from SC, NC, VA, KY, NY, CT and moved on to FL, LA, TX. SC families: BRUNSON, PALMER, LEE, PHELPS, RICHARDSON and one unknown German surname.
