I can't believe I'm the only person on this list with connections to Newberry Quakers (as well as half the German immigrants). When the Quakers fled the south around 1800, mine stayed in Newberry. Nathan Wright and wife Sarah (Jay, we think) remained in Newberry. He married in 1778 and by 1800 had 8 children. The only identified child was William who went some 40 years later to Alabama. None of the other children have been identified but possibly two of the daughters were named Charity and Hannah. One of the sons may have been Wright Wright. Some of the daughters may have married and moved to the Ohio Valley with other Quakers Surely there is at least one researching descendant of one of these children??? DJ
