She an I have connected through the family of Mary Cleland who married my gg grandfather, John Sterling, Jr of Newberry about 1847 as his second wfie. She added six more children to his 11 previous. I am also interested in your mention of the Plunkett family in Newberry. I have a ggg grandmother Hannah Plunkett b. 1780, VA, m. Benjamin Crumley in Newberry 1799-1800. My Plunketts arrived in Newberry from VA. The Cleland-Sterling family are my maternal line, while the Plunkett-Crumley line is paternal. Most descendants moved through northwest GA into AL. My Plunketts arrived in Newberry from VA. Well, it's indeed a small world. Benjamin and Hannah are my ggg grandparents also We're 5th cousins. My Plunkett data comes from a book entitled "Ten Thousand Plunketts" in two volumes, by Emma Plunket Ivy. I'll be glad to share whatever you have. We probably should do it off the list, though. The small amount of data I have on the Clelands comes from the same source. Are you on the CRUMLEY-List also? Jerry Crumly
