I forwarded the queries regarding Kinard/Counts to one of my Counts cousins. Here is her reply. Had this in my files. Death and obituary notices from the Southern Christian Advocate 1867-1878 "Gen Henry Harrison Kinard was born 29 March 1806 and died 17 June 1869. He was a native of Newberry District, SC.....On 20 Feb 1827, he was united in marriage to Miss Mary A. Counts......In 1851 he sustained the loss of the companion of his youth, and in the following year was happily married to Miss Louisa C. Counts...." Also, Eve Koon (wife of Martin Kinard and mother of Gen. Henry H. Kinard) was also the second wife of John Counts, son of the patriot, who first married Elizabeth Eichelberger.
