    3. The Newberry County Court has copies of all these records and a computer index as well...but I'm not sure they will do any looking via mail etc...usually they tell you they don't do genealogy research...at one time many years ago I wrote and requested an index of their Coats probate index and they sent me the computer printout of what they have... The SC Archives also has probate records and also the FHC...I've found the FHC microfilm to be my first resource, if I can't find it there I go to the Archive and then to the Court... Date: Thu, 4 May 2000 19:15:30 EDT Another kind list member has advised me to find probated records on Smith families in Newberry County for the late 1700's. Does anyone know how to go about this? I am at a loss and don't know where to write, call, email or what and what information could I give them in that the only information I have comes from the 1790 census? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
