I am seeking the ancestors of John Buzhardt who lived in Newberry, SC and died there in 1816. John Buzhardt's estate was probated on March 4, 1816. His wife was Elizabeth Buzhardt, the daughter of Nicholas Sligh and Catherine Cappleman. Children of John Buzhardt were Jacob, Margaret, John S., Abner, James A., Cyrus and Ann Catherine. After John's death, Elizabeth married again to Woolrod Wicker. Peter Quattlebaum was appointed guardian of Abner and James Buzhardt. George Sondly was appointed guardian of Cyrus, John S. and Ann Catherine Buzhardt. I would also like to find out where and when John Buzhardt was born and where he is buried. I have quite a bit of information on the descendants of John S. Buzhardt who moved to Edgefield, SC because I am his gg-grandson but have very little information on the other siblings. I will appreciate any help you can provide and as always I will be more than glad to share my information.
