These people are from Newberry, Laurens, Co. SC area. then to GA. The Redden is my gg-grandmother Stacy Redden mar to Henry H. Hardy. If I remember correctly - Reddens, Hardy's, Gary's, McCown's sometimes were always near one or another at times......Maybe that might help your search. >> Shirley, I think Nathan Davis's first wife was Emily Fowler, daughter of Levi Fowler and Martha Odell Duckett and I think they were all from Newberry County, SC. Right now I am all tangled up in Harmon Davises (2 or 3), Clement Davis (1), Reason (Rezin) Davis (several), but so far, no firm connection to Nathan. What I really need are the childrens names for the 11 Davis and 3 Fowler families indexed in Newberry Co., SC census in 1790. I also need any Wills written in that time frame as well as any deed records. I have requested the 1800 and the 1810 census records for Newberry from Salt Lake. I suspect that Levi Fowler died in early 1819 in Newberry co., SC and that his daughter died in later 1819 in Lauderdale Co., AL but I have no documents for either event. I am not presently doing a very good job of research as I have a lot of anecdotal information from a lot of people, which I appreciate, but no documented connections. None of the names you mention sound familiar to me. Thanks for your thoughts, L&S, Bob Davis Vancouver, WA
