Hi! I've been out of town and off the list for 6 weeks so thought I'd repost my information. I'm looking for the parents and siblings of Solomon Smith born October 22, 1785 (Old 96th District for certain but I've been given the counties of Spartanburg, Abbeville and Newberry as more specific possibilities.). In 1814 in Laurens County Solomon married Elizabeth "Betsy" Crow, she was the daughter of the Reverend Charles Crow and Sarah Harlan. They were or became members of the Upper Duncan's Creek Baptist Church where the Rev. Crow was minister. Solomon and Betsy had the following children: Charles Crow Smith m. Hopper Sarah H. Smith m. Langston Catherine Smith m. Fike George Rayford Smith m. Mary Ann Kynerd Rebecca Jane Smith m. Suttles Mary Frances Smith m. Suttles Martha Elizabeth Smith m. Kynerd Caroline Elizabeth (aka Betsy) m. Price William Winn Smith m. Young Emma Rochell Smith m. Airey In 1834 Solomon and Betsy moved to Perry County, Alabama and became members of the Ocmulgee Baptist Church. Solomon died in 1861. Circa 1850 George Rayford Smith and his wife, Mary Ann Kynerd, moved to Mississippi along with her brother, Salathiel Kynerd.
