I am researching my Thompson line and have hit the brick wall in Newberry, SC. This is what I have so far: (The first two generations I cannot prove the connection to, and they may be totally wrong) 1. Richard Thompson + Susannah Stidman 2. Joseph W. Thompson, M.D., possibly a Colonel, b. 1783. SC married October 27, 1802, in Newberry, SC, + Lydia Randall (Randol), b. 1781 3. Their possible children?: i. Joseph W. Thompson, b. 1812, d. MS, married Pamela Meek. ii. Foster Hockett Thompson, M.D., b. 1818 in SC, died 1850 in MS (my line), married Susan Florida Simmons. iii. John B. Thompson iv. Sarah Harriet Thompson, married Madison Posey v. Elizabeth Thompson, married a Gaits, Gates, or Gattis vi. Dorcas ? To say I am desperate for any leads is an understatement. If you have any suggestions or information, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thank you. Dorothy O'Neill (Djaneo@aol.com)
