I'm looking for relations of my gg-grandmother, Mahala (or Mahalee) Peterson, born in Newberry abt. 1818. I don't know anything about her parents or siblings.. She married Giles Cleland, also of Newberry, and they had at least two children, Nancy Jane and George. They migrated to GA at some point. Nancy Jane married W. John Adarine Jeffers in GA, and migrated first to Arkansas and then to Morgan County, AL. Her brother George also migrated to AL. I believe Mahala and Giles remained in GA, but I'm not sure.
