Hi, I'm related to the Crumly family, also, through Benjamin Crumley b. August 20,1779 in VA. He married Hannah Plunkett, daughter of Robert Plunkett and Margaret Murdock. Another of their daughters, Sarah Jane, married Robert Cleland, and their son Giles married Mahala Peterson; Giles and Mahala had a daughter named Nancy Jane Cleland, my greatgrandmother. I know that James and Catherine Regan had a daughter named Nancy, b. SC 12/04/1811. Nancy married Robert Crumley. Robert and Nancy helped to found the Methodist Church in Birmingham, AL known as Crumley Chapel. Both Nancy and Robert are buried there. I do not have much additional information on the Regans. I'm sorry that I can't help you concerning Catherine's maiden name, but I would be interested in any other info on the Regans! Good luck, Linda the maiden name of Catherine, ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jerry Crumly" <jmcrumly@pcola.gulf.net> To: <SCNEWBER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 15, 2001 1:58 PM Subject: [SCNEWBERRY] James Regan and Catherine (?) > I am a new subscriber to your list, a descendant of John Crumley and Hannah > (Faulkner) who settled in Newberry in the mid-1700s.
