    2. Is this Ha Ha one coming from the same address? If so, can't you block messages from that source? Since I did that I've never received it again. 3. Hi Jerry, Yep, it's a small world. <VBG> You and I are both on the Crumley list. I believe we've already compared names, but you're welcome to check my database at my domain below. I was told NEVER open, only highlight, and Forward it to them and NEVER open the attachment. Then highlight, delete, and go into your delete and delete it from there. I also went into my Sent mail and deleted it from there, just to be on the safe side. I have received at least two this week, one a scam and another one that began Ha Ha Ha something about Snow White, etc. (Never open that one!) A few may have strayed to Richmond, so I'll check my files. Doyle ______________________________________________________ Research site: http://www.dwchambers.com

    3. Thanks for putting where you are from Jerry. That way I know you are not familiar with the Cleland families where I live. I am only a short distance from Newberry,SC and Mountville,SC I have distant cousin where I live,Clinton,SC, and as far as I know they were all from around Mountville,S.C. where my mother was raised. She was the one told me we were kin to them. I haven't worked that line yet but know it must be in my Chase/Riser/Smith connection from that area. When we used to go to the same campground and got to talking kinfolks it seems as though it might have been through a Smith line, but if you have some names I will be glad to ask my cousin. He knows alot about the family kinfolk and other cousins who have migrated to Florida who go camping with them in N.C. are also very knowledgeable. libpitts@bellsouth.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jerry Crumly" <a-celt@home.com> To: <SCNEWBER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, August 17, 2001 11:29 AM Subject: Re: [SCNEWBERRY] Cleland Family ... > Hey, wait a minute. 3. I'm related to those Clelands, though not directly, through Hannah Cleland, who married Charles Plunkett. A Plunkett granddaughter of Hannah's married Benjamin Crumley. Robert and Margaret (Murdock) Plunkett are in my direct line. Do you have anything on Hannah's parents? My estimate is that she would have been born ca 1720 or there abouts. Jerry

    2. This site has been so active lately that I though I would try my luck. I am updating my CLELAND info and would love to have anyone with a Cleland connection to let me know. This is my maiden name and my most elusive name search. My father was born in Newberry County, SC. His line begins with James Cleland who shows up on the 1790 Census in Newberry with his brother Robert Cleland - from where, I have no idea. Thanks, Amy (Cleland) Gilreath
