If I have the dates in my mind right, Martha A., daughter of Bennett, would have been around 30 when she married. If this was her first marriage at an age a little above average for that time and place, she might have been a little more inclined to marry a man who was older. Are you on the Marion County listserv? There are a few folks on that system who seem to know a fair amount about the Jackson family which spanned the two old counties. David Jackson is one of these.
