    3. >Dear Edna, I think you may be on to something, but I don't really know anything about the Ferebee family. I have noticed Fereby being used as a first name--for Fereby Clark. Also I think some have hypothesized that there was a Fereby, possibly the sister of Kezziah Hays Townsend, who married Isaac Brigman. Do you know anything about that? I also ran into some Alabama records (esp. St. Claire County) discussing some interconnections among the Brigman, Dearman, Bounds, and McLendon families. Apparently there was a Fereby Dearman who originated in Richmond County, NC, daughter of Solomon Dearman b. 1750 in NC. I know this is of little help, but I wanted to reinforce the notion that the Ferebee family might possibly have led to a number of namings. Good luck! Larry Jones >wife Sarah. Is anyone researching the Ferebee family? The daughter of John >Townsend and Kizziah Hays (born abt 1772) was named Fereby (Ferebee, >Fairbee). It is possible that Kizziah Hays was the granddaughter of Philip >and Fereby Clark. Fereby sounds like a family name.
