My main connection is Nancy E. Quick married one of my ancestors, James J. Newton in Fayette County, GA. I have a copy of Nancy Quick's death certificate that lists her father as Eli Quick of SC and her mother as S. Turner of SC although I have her in my database as Drucilla Turner. One of Eli Quick's grand-daughters was named Drucilla. Nancy lived to be 85 years old. I have the death certificate of James J. and Nancy's son J.W. Newton and it lists his mother as Nancy Quick and father as Jim J. Newton. The Newtons at that time were from Marlboro County, SC since 1785. I haven't been able to pin down where the Quick's were although it was probably Marlboro. Write when you can. I'll post this on the Marlboro mail list. Maybe someone else can use it.
