Greetings to all from Gettysburg. I'm looking for SION ODOM who married ANN NEWTON born ca 1816, daughter of Younger Newton Jr. I've been trying to find this family for quite some time. There is rather a rich history between the Newtons and the Odoms. William S. Newton married Margaret Odom, Anderson Newton married Mary Margaret Odom, Cornelius Dendy Newton married Martha Wallace (daughter of Jennie Odom and Barnabus Wallace) for example. There is also connections between the Newtons and other families that are connected to the Odoms. Some of them are Stubbs, Barentine, Snead, Turner, Quick, and Parrott for example. If we had all the lines, I'm sure there would be more. Quite a few of the members of these families migrated to Fayette County, GA, from which I sprang.
