Sion purchased land in Marlboro Co. (on NE side of Great Peedee, bounded on West by Ready Branch, and on East by Muddy Creek) in 1809. In 1831 he gifted land to his two sons, William & Sion Jr., then has them execute a document giving control of the land back to Sion Sr. for his lifetime. It appears this may have been in preparation for a 2nd (or 3rd) marriage to the young widow Beady AMMONS. He left a Will there in 1835. Sion Jr. is enumerated on the 1840 Marlboro Co. census. Also listed is a Sophia WIGGINS, possibly William WIGGINS widow. Sion Jr. appears to heve married Moriah RABON. By 1850 she is shown as head of household. It thus appears that Sion and both his sons have died between 1835 and 1850. Any additional information that can be gleamed will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ted & Joyce
