I've noticed recent postings about the AMMONS family. As far as I know I am not a descendant of that family, but if any AMMONS researcher should come across the name of Martha AMMONS b. ca. 1838 or 1839, I would certainly love to know. A person by that name was supposed to have been the wife of my gg uncle, Robeson Hays, who died in the Civil War. I believe that they had two children and they lived during their short married life in the area very close to where old Marion County and Marlboro bordered. I think, but am not sure, that Martha married Robert McLendon after the death of Robeson Hays. Any clues would be greatly appreciated. Larry Jones
