    1. Re: [SCMARLBO-L] Rogers Family
    2. I was wishing I could help you tonight but.... 1. I sent my zeroxed index to the book to a distant cousin in AL....She wanted more information and I thought I would not need it before I receive the book which I ordered about a week ago. 2. I looked through the zeroxed pages which I still have and didn't find any reference to the Rogers Family. I have less than 20 pages of the book. 3. I am going to SC Monday for a week, actually to my son's in Augusta, GA and make day trips to SC. Through researching I have found James Spears has a diary in the University of SC. 4. I recently meet James Meekins a descendant of Nathaniel Spears. He is a 73 year old artist/painter in Latta, SC. I plan to visit him. He called me last week and says he has lots of information. He is a genealogist also. 5. When my book comes I will look up Rogers Family and pass it on to you. If I forget jog my memory but remember I'll be gone all next week. 6. Case you are interested, the www.heritagebooks.com is where they sell the History of Marlboro Co., SC cost is 25.50 plus 4.00 shipping Keep in touch! Linda In a message dated 98-08-28 23:58:46 EDT, you write: << I am looking for information on the Rogers Family of Marlboro County. Rev. J.A.W. Thomas mentions that a Nicholas Rogers was the first of his clan to move into the Pee Dee area circa 1745-1750.. He also mentions that one of his daughters married a "Mr. Pearson"... Our family legend has it that the wife of our Moses Pearson, Sr. was named Sara Rogers... We are trying to trace the migration of Moses Pearson, Sr into the Pee Dee and we believe there may have been others who traveled with him, etc... and may have been part of the later migration out of Delaware, Maryland, Virginia that followed the original Welsh Baptist.. I would appreciate any information!!! >>
