Both she and Walter are buried in in the Steen Cemetery about a mile south of the N.C. border on a dirt road between highways 38 and 257. William and Elizabeth (Roscoe) Grant are also buried in this steen cemetery in Marlboro County. It is believed but unproven that John Roscoe and his wife Martha Pinta Roscoe are also buried in this cemetery but with no headstones. Foster Roscoe, son of Elisha Roscoe, was born 25 March 1924 in Richmond County N.C. and died 12 Dec. 2001 in Charlotte, N.C. He had the following children: 1. Linda Roscoe Vibbert 2. Kathy Roscoe Turner 3. Larry Roscoe 4. Bo Turner Roscoe 5. Timothy Roscoe 6. Charles Roscoe This line of the Roscoe family is not recognized as being related to the Other Roscoe families that live in the same areas of Marlboro and Richmond Counties but they apparently married into some of the same families and named their children simular names. The Roscoe refer to the John Roscoe line as "The Menders Bunch". I believe that John Mender, turned Roscoe was in fact an illigitimate son of an unknown Mender women and possibly a John Roscoe from whom the main Roscoe family in Marlboro and Richmond Counties descend. Looking for addition information on this family. James R. Rasco jrrasco@bellsouth.net
