Rev. Tommie David McCall (November 19, 1920 - June 19, 2002) LATTA Services for Rev. Tommie D. McCall will be held 5:00 P.M. Friday in Piney Grove Freewill Holiness Church with Revs. R.B. Grice, Douglas Wiggins and Mr. Benny Cooper. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday at Piney Grove Freewill Holiness Church. Rev. McCall, 81, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at his residence after an illness. Born in Marlboro County, November 19, 1920, he was the son of the late Rev. Boyd McCall and Clercy Hayes McCall. Rev. McCall faithfully preached the gospel for 52 years throughout SC and NC and was pastor of Piney Grove Freewill Holiness Church since 1963. He was the widower of the late Daisy McDowell McCall. Survivors include his daughters, Marguerite Lovette of the home, Geneva Owen and Annie R. Cox, both of Dillon; sons, Bobby McCall of Denton, NC and David McCall of Latta; brothers, John McCall of Savannah, GA and Paul McCall of Bennettsville; sister, Lizzie Cox of Bennettsville; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. Rev. McCall was preceded in death by his sons, Jackie and Jr. McCall; brothers, Ervin, H.B., Albert, and Howard McCall; sisters, Macie Johnson, Annie Johnson and Ida Belle Meggs.
