    3. >I think we may be onto something here. The Legget Berry buried at >Bethelehem was "born about 1825" and died February 5, 1877. In the deep >recesses of my mind I think I may remember hearing that Loyce Berry >(listed as Ashton L., Jr.) could have been a descendant of Legget Berry. >That Ashton Leggett Berry b. 1879 could be the same as Ashton L. whose >census listing would put th estimated birth year as 1882. Of course, then >Ashton L. listed as Jr. wouldn't have had the same middle name, but I can >imagine the Jr. designation just meaning "younger" instead of having the >same name. The Grice and Clark names are both found in the area of Bethlehem too. Thanks for your help! Larry Jones If anyone has any information about Ashton Leggett Berry born 1823. 3. Larry, David E. Berry and Leggett Berry were residents of Richmond County, NC on 12th March 1847. Both appear in the Estate settlement of Daniel Hamer who died in 1846 in this county. Good luck in your search, Myrtle Bridges CC, http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncrichmo/index.html http://home.att.net/~hbridges/myrtle.htm
