    3. Clay, Luther Kinney BENNETTSVILLE -- Services for Mr. Luther Kinney Clay, 85, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Whitner-Evans Funeral Home with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Clay died Saturday. Born in Malboro County, he was a son of the late Herbert and Lula Erwin Clay. He was retired from J.P. Stevens Co. and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church, the Brockington Hunting Club and the American Legion. Surviving are a son, Harold Clay, (Jackie) of Timmonsville, a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Allen, (Howard), of Timmonsville, brothers, Carlos Clay and Herbert Clay, both of Bennettsville, his former wife, Cora Agee, of Bennettsville, a daughter-in-law, Linda Clay, of Bennettsville, and grandchildren, Mark and Jason Allen, of Florence, Jennifer Hoffman, of Pelzer, Ashley Clay, of Timmonsville, Greg Clay, of Thomasville, NC, Beth Easler and Tammy Davis, of Bennettsville, and 8 great-grandchildren.
